FIRST TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY AT QATAR SAFETY SYMPOSIUM
The first Texas A&M University at Qatar Safety Symposium was held on 15 and 16 March 2010 at the Texas A&M University at Qatar Engineering building at Education City, Qatar. The symposium was titled “Process and Personal Safety is Not Achieved by Accident.”
The event attracted more than 80 delegates, which includes members from our sponsoring companies Shell, ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum. Twelve speakers from Qatar, the USA and Europe participated in the event. They came from major international companies, small, specialized consultancies and universities in Qatar, Poland and the USA.
The keynote address was presented by Robert Munster, vice president for Health, Safety, Security and Environment and Sustainable Development at Qatar Shell, including the Pearl GTL on the first day and by Dr. Sam Mannan, director of the MKOPSC on the second day.
